Shanghai World Foreign LanguagePrimary School，was originallyset up in 1993. It currently consists of three separate departments: the Local Department, the International Department, and the PYP Department(International Baccalaureate Organization Primary Years Programme). The PYP Departmenthas been authorized to teach the Primary Years Programme by the IBO(International Baccalaureate Organization) since 2007. WFLPS has excellentteaching facilities. It has a reputation for its experienced teaching staff whoprovide high quality teaching. The International Department has a Chinese andWestern Integrated system. It focuses on not only the basic knowledge but also ondeveloping comprehensive skills. Graduates will have the ability to competewith both Chinese and foreign students. The IB Primary Years Programme uses a trans-disciplinarycurriculum as a base, supplemented with local materials. PYP focuses on thedevelopment of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in theworld outside. PYP prepares students to be active participants in a lifelong journeyof learning.
Hangzhou Shanghai World Foreign LanguagePrimary was opened in Autumn 2013. Based on a high-quality compulsoryeducation, the international curriculum of WFL inShanghai,bilingual teaching ways and the advanced teaching philosophy and teachingmethod from both domestic and overseas will be introduced to create an establishedinternational education inHangzhou.

2. SchoolPrerequisites
Studentsmust be born between September 1st 2008, and August 31st 2009,have good health and an overseas passport or are applying for overseaspassport.
3. Date and Time
1) Parents areinvited to come to school at 10:00am or 1:00pm on November 19th(Wednesday).The School Mission, Learner Profiles, and Curriculum will be presented.Registration forms for new year one students can be collected then. (Nochildren are expected on the day.) Parents will be able to ask questions.
2) The RegistrationForm is to be returned on December.6th (Saturday) according to thebooked time on the form. Please bring your child with a photocopy ofhis/her passport and relevant materials, and a photo. (These will not bereturned)
3) Parents ofsuccessful candidates will be contacted before December.20th 2014.If your child is not accepted, you will not be contacted.
4. Scholarship
Theschool has a HWFL scholarship system in place. This is awarded to students oncea semester to reward effort and application. The scholarship winners accountfor 15-20% of the students.
5. Tuition
Tuition of year 2014 is 22,000yuan each semester.Tuition of year 2015 will be decided by the Price Bureau inHangzhou.
